Tally

Tally builds your CFA-4 from what you already have.

Type in donations and expenses, or upload your ActBlue download, a spreadsheet, or photos of checks and receipts. Tally puts each one on the right schedule, checks it against Indiana's rules, and fills in the official form for you to sign. No account needed.

How it works

1

Tell Tally what happened

Type in donations and expenses one at a time, or upload what you have: an ActBlue download, a spreadsheet, photos of checks and receipts. Tally sorts everything onto the right schedule.

2

Fix what's flagged

A missing address, a donor over the limit, an expense that needs a receipt. Every rule in the state manual is checked, and you can ask a question in plain English any time.

3

Download, sign, file

Get the official form filled in, every schedule and total included. Print it, sign it, and turn it in to your county clerk before the deadline.

Saves as you go

Close the tab, come back next week on your phone. Your report is right where you left it.

Knows the rules

Itemizing, the $100 line, the $2,000 corporate limit, in-kind gifts, ActBlue fees, year-to-date totals.

Private

Only someone with your code can open your report. Nothing is sold or shared. Treat your code like a key.

Chip in if you can

I built Tally on my own time so local candidates don't have to pay someone, or guess, to file a clean report. It isn't free to run: every report costs money to host and process. If it saved you an evening, send what feels fair.

Other counties

Tally works for any local candidate in Indiana who files a CFA-4. If you want your county's candidates on it, email me.

Tally is a volunteer project and is not affiliated with the Indiana Election Division or any county election board. The report is only as good as what you enter. When in doubt, ask your county clerk.
